the related kernel* rpms... now if you're talking RH7.0 (Guinness),
then I don't know. They botched up that part from what I can
tell.. included 2.4.0-test headers instead of the ones for their release
of 2.2.16 .

formatted an image
file last night while it was mounted because it was, then, bound to the
loop device. How would I go about formatting a blank image file (since I

It all comes down to the soft links being missing. It really is only minor
when you consider the small amount of time it takes to put them back. The
kernel and kernel related items, in my opinion, should not be handled by
RPMs... the kernel and RPMs are a messy messy combo.

Are you using the right output module? one of them is bad.. I think it's
ESD or whatever.. make sure it's on OSS... or if it's on that one.. try
ESD. ESD causes static for me.. but OSS is fine :)
