My house mates computer Running Redhat 9 failed to boot yesterday,
booting to a command prompt asking for root password or ctrl-D to
continue.
I entered the password and ran fsck /dev/hda1 and dev/hda2 and found
lots of errors on hda2. Answered yes to all the prompts and then exit
to reboot when
if you installed of a cdrom you can use that same cdrom (or another one) as
a rescue cd by typing 'linux rescue' instead of pressing enter. This will
give you a work space and tools. You will have to mount both drives and use
cp -R (I would look very closely at cp's option 'cp --help' before I did

Boot from the floppy you created at install time, and then rerun "lilo"
