I've ordered a pile of 1-inch square Sage stickers to affix to name
badges during the meeting as a way folks can support Sage (and start
the inevitable conversations). They just shipped today from Maverick
Label (which is about 50 miles north of me). If you would like a
starter-pack of 10 sticker
After thinking about it some, I'm leaning against my original idea of
an "ask me about sage" shirt. I wouldn't ordinarily want to wear it.
But I am thinking of printing another one of the shirts I made for the
raffle last year. All you need to do to get one from cafepress.com is

What about total
OK, I've ordered 500 business cards. I was thinking that perhaps it
would be fun to make a t-shirt that said "Ask me about Sage!". If
anyone else is interested I could order a few, although I don't want
to front a lot of money for it.

I'm a lurker on this list. I keep wanting to join up and start coding for
Sage. I'm a computer science grad student. Anyway, i'll be at the Joint
meetings. Would love to meet people and learn more about Sage.
could also pass out cards or help out in some way if needed

I will definitely stop by. Looking forward to meeting all the Sage

I started a wiki page for this:

But it won't be a party without you! We really need to get a head
count...

That would be great if you could do the stickers, and I will do the
business cards.
Thanks!

I'll take on the sticker project if Marshall is looking to distribute
the work. Maverick Label looks comparable in price with a slightly
more idiot-proof ordering interface (at a cost of fewer colors, I
think). 500 might be overkill, but the marginal cost of the last 100

I've been thinking about going to the joint meetings, and (although it
looks irrelevant) I still have the Sage banner in my office at UW.

Marshall,
Limited Googling got me: http://www.sheet-labels.com/printing/
$35 for 500 stickers at 1" x 0.625" which was the smallest I could
find. Lots of options - rounded corners, different sizes, etc.

I like the sticker idea too. I'm not sure how to go about making them
- anyone know a good place to order custom tiny stickers? It would be
cool to use the sage logo if it could be printed small & crisply.

Marshall,
Thanks for printing up business cards for the meeting. Count me in.
One year I did this for my textbook - it was a good way to start a
conversation. Distributed about 50 all told. If those who were
interested in passing out business cards resolved to mention Sage to
people they meet
OK, I'll print up 500 business cards and anyone who wants some can
just let me know.
I think it will be interesting to see how the meeting goes without an
informal presence. Last year we had a big footprint with the booth,
AMS session and MAA session. But I think there has been tremendous

Depends on what you mean by official. I am giving two teaching-
related talks on interactive things I have done with Sage
