Mike Monet insisted (and I found it to be true) that only a pure salt
such as canning salt would show this test.
Table salt wouldn't work for me.

Interesting. I wonder if what is happening is that silver iodide is
being formed instead of silver chloride when iodized salt is used.
Although silver iodide is insoluble, it is a pale yellow instead of an
opaque white, so it may not be as easily seen.

I dropped a few drops of silver on my washing machine which went unnoticed,
and later I found a pale mauve mark which had me guessing for quite a while
and it had to be removed using a special cloth. I then remembered the
silver so I guess the silver must have remained when the water dried up.

In a sense, we have the best of both worlds -- ionic and particulate.
Most of us have no way of being confident in the claims about the
efficacy of one over the other, so having some of both may be best,
particularly given M. Dudley's claim that the combination reduces the
chance of argyria.

While much more knowledgeable voices can answer this question, I, being

Dee,
Thanks for that information about your health and that of your dogs. I lost
my dog to cancer last April. Even though money was never a consideration in
my effort to save his life, I probably spent in the vicinity of $7,000 on
that pet.
Since then I have become aware of vaccinosis,
of silver. Think of the money I'm *not* spending with them, and
through them, the drug companies. Dee
