Thanks for all the answers my main concern has been twenty five pound bags I
bought from the health food store the past month so far they look okayI put
them in a big beach cooler I have along with bay leaves...and oh yes these are
organic so I am hoping that makes a differencedebbie

They or the larvae were probably in the rice when you bought it. Once or twice
over the years I've found them in rice that had been stored for a while. Wipe
the area down with alcohol.
