coming into or whether it's a fax, calls can be routed to sipx, or another pbx

Ok, that helped on that problem :).
So the polycom's have a different problem then?

sipx-users mailing list sip
Can't seem to log into ftp to get polycom phones working on a 4.2 setup.
The files are in /var/sipxdata/configserver/phone/profile/tftproot.
The config tests all pass so am not sure what is wrong.
# wget ftp://plcmspip:plcms...@uc.domain.com/syncinfo.xml

So, never did get a solution on this, is there a way to make the page lists
longer? :)

So don't bother using my own. Makes sense.
Thanks.

For remote phones, I would basically just allow ntp access via the firewall for
the phones but is there some way of locking it to phones only so that public
doesn't start using me as an ntp server?

I'll give it a shot, I'd love to see the firewall's being vm's, that would be
very useful, thanks.

That's great news. That's an
I started using pfsense a while back for remotes into sipx which works fine.
However, it's a full hardware server and I am wondering if it might work just
as well as a vmguest. I'd like to have a couple of them working in tandem for

Whew, it's pretty much always a pain when having to change name or ssl certs :).

Yes, I built a new system and was trying to restore that. I forgot however to
update it from 4.0.4 ISO to 4.2 via yum first so am trying this next.

Default install of 4.0.4 ISO was used to build new system. Forgot to update the
new system to 4.2 in order to make configs compatible. Will do that next then
try restoring again.

Right after I posted this, I finally found a reference in the sipxconfig log.
Got it, use -non-interactive is what I was looking for.

Is there any way of restoring a backup from the cli?
I built a new server which I was going to restore but each time I restore, it
just hangs.
Everything appears to be running but the gui never comes up.
I'd like to try a restore from the command line to see if I get any errors for
leads.

Rebooting the system allows the database server to start but restarting
/etc/init.d/sipxecs breaks it as below.
Weird. Guess it'll be easier to just build a new server than keep messing with
this.

Had not tried restarting, only rebooting. Upon restarting, this is what came up.

For sure, there have been plenty of posts about that. Just not sure it's
related to that yet
