Hi all,
I'm intending to setup RAID on my home workstation for the first time
ever tonight. It will be a fresh install on a pair of 160GB SATA drives.
I have a couple of questions for the RAID gurus out there.
I've got CDs for Mandrake 9.2 and Fedora Core 1 -- are either of these

No, except for one thing.
Live CDs like Knoppix and Morphix often probe for- and put icons on the
desktop for- existing hard drive part
Starting from the desktop,
1) Go into command line
2) Set font to required (ie., large) size
3) Maximise the page
4) Do whatever has to be done
5) Exit and log right out
Next session, after the password, I'd like to begin at 4)
There must be a way to do this. Any help, please?

I think I know what is happening but not the cure!
The directory in question is /var/auc/course, but I have just real
There is also Tutos, was originally sort of written as production

didnt suit us, so I wrote one.
Thanks Heracles and all who have replied.
I've just picked up a copy of PC Authourity with the Morphix cd. I figure I can't run into too much trouble if it boots from the cd (can I???) so I'll give it a try first.

Hi,
We are using CommuniGate Pro from Stalker (http://www.stalker.com)
We are running it on Redhat 8.0. They recommend you don't use RH9.
It's not free.
We have 50 users. It cost us USD499 for one server with 50 users and
plus USD1,199 for 50 Outlook (MAPI connector) users.
It does mail, calen

Yes but on 1.4.5, it appears to be related to the contacts
functionality. I use both local contacts
I am afraid this is true--I'm trying to swap from RedHat to Debian and
finding it VERY difficult to upgrade or add or anything.
What I find oddest is that programs on the install disc say they need
upgraded lib components--but I cannot find them with apt, or if I do I am
told they are incompatible

Apparently it does with the aid of a $69USD plugin that only works for
exchange.
on Evolution1.4.4 is anyone experiencing issues like lockups on the app?
After a while I have to open a term and killall evolution

Corel Office has a shared calendar thing that works pretty well on
windows. just uses a database in a central location and a database
driver on each machine to access the central shared calendar and people
can then maintain private calendars. it works pretty well.

I'm under the impression (with some limited testing so far) that setting TZ
will just set the timezones for the child processes, without affecting the
timezone that cron uses when running my jobs.
