Also quite a few employers say "does he have a degree in anything". If so, you get a better chance than if you don't. Especially if you go for a job with a corporation rather than a small business. In the case of small business, they usually don't care if you have a degree or not. With

So yes, the potential is definitely there for people to get decent admin jobs if they are prepared to learn at home... From a potential employer perspective this is exactly the advice i give people when they ask what they shoudl do to get into computing. A bit of a challenge yes, but a great
