Hi Luc-Eric,
I´m a long-term Maya user.
In regards to the Maya interface, I would hope that you guys
could look into the following perception when using Maya:
This should work but there must be a setting that is wrong or off.

This is awesome. It's funny how Arnold has changed our pipeline, we're no
where near what you guys have but the entire Model reference ass
switching workflow is what we've implemented already i.e. the ability to
swap between all three at any time, make changes to the source in the
lighting
yes, we publish an asset and you get a full resolution xsi model and
another model which is just the lightweight arnold standin. that script is
swapping the resolutions. that is all
we don't do hundreds at a time we also can skip the importing as full
resolution, and just import the standin. we
i think the speed of the demo and clever use of interactive snapping might
be fooling you ;)
but you give me an idea for a custom tool plugin like piotrek's mesh paint
plugin but for our pipeline.

Ya I realize that demo was sped up... I guess I let my mind run away a

I was thinking you had done some sort of mesh drop using a constrained null

constraints or just axis constraints i.e. align to ground or just Y

No. I wasn't in debug mode as this problem only occurred on select scenes. We
do not use ICE or Python either.
Most scenes open and function as expected, but we have a small number of scenes
that contain something that causes events to stop functioning when they're
opened and the problem
yep, i am aware there is no ICE or python in your pipeline...
i just know we had issues were someone complained about these weird issues,
only they got. then in desperation they renamedd their user profile and it
worked. i dug into that profile and found many debugging options were on. i

Usually means the hierarchy under that node has been collapsed under

Select the weight map you are trying to copy. Hit the freeze button to
freeze the weights. Then you'll be able to Ctrl+ drag and drop on the
other mesh with weights in tact. You should make sure you freeze those
properties and ops when you're satisfied with the weights.

This works but more often these days once it starts to not update, it's
most likely not going to continue to update and a restart is needed.
It's impossible to repro otherwise I would have sent something in a

Hi,
is there a simple way to add all scene assets (scene, pictures, whatnot)
to an archive (rar, 7z whatever) file? (3ds max has a tool like this)
Only the actually used items, that is!
Or just copy them someplace else, for easy creation of the archive?
Got a lot of clutter in my pictures

that I use dis load scene, create new project, save scene as new scene and
