I'm still getting the Adobe window with only a question mark when trying
to open pdf files with SM 1.1.18 and Windows 7 64-bit. Has anyone
figured out how to fix this?

the line ending with (image/jpeg) can be set to use either Acrobat or
Acrobat (in Firefox).
It may be you need to set that action.
