On the Mac it downloaded as bible.xml using chrome. I renamed that to bible.zip and double clicked that to get bible, to which I added the .xml extension. On the Mac it is the OS that handles the "unpacking." This happens all the time on the Mac and I am used to it. It probably is tied w the m

I downloaded it with Firefox 3.6.25, though I could just as easily have used Chrome or IE. I doubt that the browser makes any changes to what is within a binary file such as .gz I regularly download all sorts of things, and this has never happened before. I used 7-Zip to extract things locally. I
