Hello,
when editing outside my country, I try to give changeset comments in
english to let other mappers understand what I did in their area.
I believe this must be a best practice regarding comments (alongside the
"meaningful comments" one).
This is the last example

Hi Roland,
nice work!
I was wondering if could be a workable solution to display and hide objects
based on current zoom.
On z19 for example the entry for administrative boundaries is less
interesting than a pub, as on lower zoom it could give priority to streets
and stations instead of shops, and s

Hello list,
are there some style/brand guidelines for the creation of OSM materials?
Particularly I was asked about which font could be used to write
OpenStreetMap, and the only text I found was the one in the old banner (

hi,
regarding address mapping I use keypadmapper2, because on my phone osmpad
has problems due to the low resolution..
regarding poi collecting I moved from osmtracker to geopaparazzi, it has
notes, geotagged photos and vocal notes and uses mapsforge if you want to
take notes more precisely.

Hello,
I've just read this[0] article on The Verge, about a startup working on
indoor navigation.
Do you think it could work with OSM? After I read it came to my mind the
IndoorOSM proposal [1]..
And in the video they seem to use GMaps to georeference the floor plans!

Hi,
I was told once there was a bot that 'fixed' fixme as a value (I found a
proposal about that here[0]). It exists? Who can run it?
Currently I see a lot of fixme which don't conform to Fixme key[1], as a
result I see things like this[2].

Hi,
can I ask why are you going to delete gfoss_id?
It's a key used to reference cities in Italy with the data of Gfoss
association.
Perhaps some of these kind of tags could be transformed instead of being
deleted..
In this case I could discuss in Italian ML about transforming that key in

I'd add that it's an opportunity to empty the Proposals page accepting the
de facto standards (thus transforming into tag pages, last tag I used from
the proposals is highway=elevator for instance), and discussing (healthcare

It's a Tagging list task but co

Hi,
I tried to use Hikingbook.pl[0] by Gary68, but I wasn't successful (I
wanted to use it together with his next project, Mapweaver)
I saw also Osmbook[1] but was limited in rendering.
