As Corel has or probably will have Inprise (g) I would asume that there is a real good chance that Corel will push it since they are in the Linux market. Getting that compiler out would be a major push to get software ported to Linux. I cannot see MS move Visual Basic or C to Linux...

same accounts as before, it will even ask you to create them. If you copy to a system the bat was never on before, no problem, just reinstall over where you copied it, same accounts as before. But in that first case, registry pointing to E and files sitting on F, you get a big mess, missing boxes etc..
