Hello all,
I do not post often to this email group

well---for now. One thing that we discussed, is the fact that so far, they

Hopping? Yikes! For me that would hurt I think. Not about to try actually.
Wonder what the hopping is to help with?
I did do that grapevine exercise you are talking about though Grace.

I don't believe there is A exercise that will help that, but I do believe doing
different exercises it will get better.
After 5 years of many exercises, I still walk scissoring legs.
Hey Frank, I had been ask to walk sideways a long the edge of the counter and
then back that is very hard
*What wonderful news about Netta, Barbara! Young and engaged..can I
even remember back that far? LOL.*

Many of you remember Netta Ganor, a young woman artist from Israel with TM.
I sent her a birthday message a few days ago and got this response, with some
exciting news, that she asked me to share with you all:
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Barbara!
You never forget my birthday and
You remember, I hope, that I cannot walk at all and have no idea how strange
these emails regarding scissoring legs and hopping about sound to me.
Ms. Priss Grace is teasing me and won't tell me what it is all about. She
is being a huge brat !!!
Please help me.
Peace and Prayers,
Jude
*I don't think there are any exercises to prevent scissoring. I used to do
it while I slept, but since using a pillow between my knees, it's subsided.
Hey Todd, i have to practice the walking sideways thing, too. There's two
ways to do it and I practice both. One is too simply sidestep with one

*I'm not sure why the neuro asked me to try to hop. The visit before last,
he held onto my forearms, and I to his, and he instructed me to take a
*little* hop. It actually felt like I hopped---but really, nothing
happened. I've been practicing here at home, but so far, have not
good point Sal.

okay, now I'm going to try it. I just now held onto the edge of the table with
both hands. Hopped. Weak leg off ground about 1/4 inch, stronger left leg off
about 1/2 inch. Now I can say, been there, done thatmoving on.
Grace, I know you WILL hop too . come heck or high
While I agree that hopping could help increase ankle strength (ask any boxer)
I think your doctor was doing this to test your overall physical abilities.
Your muscles as well as your proprioception. Or he has some kind of sick sense
of humor and enjoys watching disabled people fall on their
Thanks Louise that makes sense to me. Guess there is a reason for all this
after all.

*Hi Louise,*

*I just tried skipping---and absolutely cannot do it. (In fact, it was
almost tragic.) The hopping thing is so bizarre---I actually feel like I've
hopped despite accomplishing nothing. Now the skipping was a dangerous
undertaking for me and I don't think I'll try it again
I guess the old saying is true, There is a first time for everyting.
I've been reading emails and rarely do I write much. So many people on this
list seem to have much more on their plate to deal with than myself.
This past week, I started getting results back from test.
I still understand
I've been so happy for you, Grace, that the rituxan treatments have been
working. How does the doctor know when you have reached your saturation point?
They don't wait until you might be on the way to relapsing, do they? I don't
know what mitroxantrone is - is it another chemo drug? (Am I
Wow Randy,
What an experience you have been through. I was wondering how your test came
out...well I guess I know now. I know many of us have had problems with Dr's.
It took me years to find a good one here. I don't know if your insurance will
cover it, but if you could go see Dr. Kerr in
