I have memory loss along with cognitive dysfunction.  It is better since I am currently able to be on much lower doses of my meds.  (I am not anti-meds and will go back up when I must) The suggestion on group about doing crossword puzzles, etc. is excellent.  My neuro told me that years ago.

Randy, Like Jeanne, I take Cymbalta and tramadol which does seem to help the pain.  I have yet to find anything to completely wipe out the pain only things that make it tolliable.  I also wear a TENS machine on my back.  I seem to have the worst pain during the cold, too hot, and humidity

I was fitted with a "custom made" AFO in 04 at the rehab hospital for drop foot... really helped but problem is I can't take anything (no socks, shoes, blankets) ect on my feet (yes winter is a real buggar let me tell you) but so the AFO does help alot if you have insurance they will pay
