I don't have a defaultHost attribute in my Engine tag, and Tomcat 4.0.1
seems to be working fine. I'm finding the same challenges w/ the
documentation that you
id.

I've managed to get TomCat 4.0.1 and Apache 1.3 working with mod_WebApp/WARP
on Solaris 8. I
Taking the suggestion to include a Host section in my server.xml under
tomcat apache allows me to do http://host/examples/ and see the
directory. I can't execute anyhting though.

Hi
I have a Linux machine in which i need to install Apache 1.3.19, mod_ssl
2.8.3, OpenSSL 0.9.6b, mod_jk and i need to integrate this with
JBoss-2.4.4_Tomcat-3.2.3 (integrated distribution from JBoss) which is
running on another linux machine , here integrate means i need to send in
http
session. Since I'm only reading about one Apache and multiple Tomcat
instances, I was wondering does this whole balancing solution also
work with balanced Apache system. In other words, I need solution
that works with balanced Apache and balanced Tomcat system
It should work as long

Depends on the architecture of your infrastructure:
apache - tomcat
Loadbalacer
apache - tomcat
In this scenario you don't need the loadbalancing
feature of mod_jk but the loadbalancer must honor
the sessions.
apache tomcat
Loadbalacer X
well, on my opinion i would need that when i would use virtual hosts, but
i don't is my opinion wrong ?
Your server.xml needs a host - something like this:
Server port=8005 shutdown=SHUTDOWN debug=0
Service name=Tomcat-Apache
Connector
className
901 - 1000 of 1507 matches
