I had a pretty rough time getting the touch to work as I wanted it to
work, but now I'm pretty satisfied. Updating to the latest 7.6-firmware
helped with a lot of issues. Have you tried resetting the touch yet?

If you need a cheap Squeezebox with an IR receptor, why not buy a

I'm thinking about buying a Touch as my old Roku Soundbridge has finally
died.
Before I do, can anybody let me know if the Touch can store the address
of Internet radio stations locally as a preset as opposed to on
Logitech's servers.
I ask because the Soundbridge allowed this which meant that

Yeah, that's why I suggested temporarily turning off encryption. ;)
Understandably you thought WEP was preventing your Touch from

The internal server should do, too.
I'm just wondering whether it's possible to start the internal server
without any storage media attached or not ? Worst case you have to
connect a small/cheap memory card, USB memory stick or USB HDD.
According to the manual (or forum posts I can't remember)
After data entry via IR remote simply press the RIGHT arrow on the
remote for enter.

Next thing I would try is wiring Touch to your router, see if it can at
least connect that way.
It should then connect to MySB.com and get the latest FW which might
even help in your WiFi connection issues.

There is an easy way to do this - just use a Powermid or similar!
