Phil, thanks very much for putting some thought to my problem. 1) is not the case, I only have one SBT in my system, and the server does only show this one device as recognized 2) have not fiddled, at least not knowingly. Is there any way and other program on my machine might have interfered

The Touch's built-in server doesn't support most (any?) SBS plugins. Doesn't one of the plugins have to be installed for scrobbling? I am not sure, but I thought the app only gets you last.fm playback, not scrobbling. -- aubuti

The audiolab uses 24 bit async interface as does the Streamer II, so it should use exactly the same setup. The next step is to look at the /proc/asound area. Look in the card1 dir and poke around for a file of the form stream0, it may be under another dir. This file will give the details of the

Neither the Hiface nor the Musiland will work with Linux. If you are going to use a fitpc2 I would not use anything other than linux. I've just been playing with a HRT Music Streamer II on the Touch (an async interface) and its still very Dependant on whats going on in the computer. I
