Thanks for the mod John. I came across the cap bypass and toolbar mods
just the other day after owning my touch about 2 months and i'm very
pleased with the results of the mods. My display is not working after
putting it back together so i am expecting just the ribbon cable came

Highly interesting thread, thanks for all developpers work :)
Does anybody knows if SBT with kernel updates will work with M2tech

The point of this thread is to get async USB working so that an ASYNC

Yeah, ill contact support.
If it cant be fixed ill live with it.
Got it allmost for free (35$) from work since we got an extra in a
order. One we didn't order. So can't really get a new one for that
price :)

Does anyone here have a USB Audio Class 2 dac?? If so I would be
interested in what happens with my kernel #3 in the usb dac experiement

I've included the more recent linux changes which _may_ allow class 2

The router is set to B/G/N - compability mode.
The weird thing is that i did find mine and a couple of neighbors
routers prior to the update, and were able to connect.
The wifi-chip might be malfunctioning though in my touch, since it
doesn't even search.
Is there any way of activating the chip,
Is there an easy way to use the Now Playing screen layout used on the
Radio? That is, the one that has the cover art full screen with the
track details and time bar at the top with a semi-transparent
background?

A friend of mine does not have internet access where he lives, but can
create a Network with an app on his Android Phone. He can surf the net
just fine with his computers, but he is having a difficult time getting
his SBTs to work properly. He can see the network on the SBT and connect
to it, but
The phone probably doesn't route UDP broadcasts. Try entering the server
ip manually on the touch.

You don't need internet access for the Touch and LMS to work on a local
network.

I use the automatic brightness control and have set the minimum
brightness to the minimum setting. The automatic brightness control
seems to work very well for most cases. Especially at night, the
display is very dim which is how I like it.
The only thing that bothers me about the brightness
I hear ya. I usually just manually lower the brightness.

Weird thing is this morning the SBT couldn't connect to the server. I'm
not sure why. Perhaps the wind overnight windstorm knocked out the
cable for a while? Dunno. Server IP address on the SBT indicated
127.0.0.1 ! I checked the server (mac mini) and it was up and running
with an IP of
Your cable ISP service has no affect on your local devices connecting to
your local network.
127.0.0.1 is not the IP of LMS server nor the computer hosting LMS. It
is just a local loop back to LMS when accessing LMS from the same
computer running LMS.

John - I found a bug in the 0.3 version of USB Audio Output - could you
try updating to 0.4 and trying again with your 16 bit dac?

It definitely does NOT. The Hiface uses it's own proprietary USB
protocol which requires its own special driver. There is

I'll give that a try today. I'm also going to try

Okay, I haven't been paying attention to what's been happening in
Squeezebox land for a while, just listening to my music as often as I
can via my SB Touch. So today, I come across this thread and on a whim
and decide to try it out. I really don't have any nice USB DACs but I
