Some people have noted that some home theatre style receivers convert
the analog inputs back to digital for processing.
In these cases people have recommended to use the digital out from the
touch as you are probably losing more with the DA conversion ->analog to
receiver -> AD conversion -> proce

On the NAS check that both the time and the time-zone settings are

Yes the path for MusicIP and LMS needs to look the same. If it looks
different LMS can't match tracks from its database to the MusicIP
tracks.

The paths in the playlists and on the squeezebox should be consistent:
Let's say playlists are mapped as:
\\SHARED\Music\Artists\Album\song.mp3
Squeezebox music folder is mapped to C:\Music.

Just a thought, but what is the flac compression level on files that
cause problems? There has been issues in the past with older players
with heavily compressed flacs if I recall correctly. If your flacs are
compressed more than level 5 this may be the issue?

What about file permissions on the mp3 files? I am using ubuntu for my
server but I'm relatively new. I have read something somewhere aobut
the permissions for files copied from windows may be off on ubuntu. You
may need to change them.

If you are using mysqueezebox com:
Logon on to mysqueezebox.com and check the time settings there.
If you have installed software on the pc to play music off your hard
disk, please go to that PC and make sure it's time zone settings are
correct.

Embedded because if I copy single tracks to other players they still
have art. Folder to show in the folders and have a backup if the tags
get messed up.

I think VLC allows you to set up streams as well which you could then
use as internet radio stations. Delays would again be a problem so
you'd have to fiddle with the audio sync settings in vlc.

Moose is software that can control a squeezebox. It's written for
Windows by a 3rd party. It is configurable, e.g. fonts/colours etc,
can show a nice now playing screen with playlist etc. It doesn't play
music.

VortexBox is actually a small pc without a screen\keyboard rather than a
NAS, but that is all semantics. Point it is more powerful than a
typical NAS so can do what SqueezeBox server needs to do.

You can also try Moose. It is a Windows app that can control squeeze
products. Responds to media keys etc.
If you have the SqueezeBox server running on a PC you can also use the

Yes my SB3 has its own codes + supports JVC. They've had their own
codes for ages. This support was turned on by default which was quite
annoying given that I have JVC equipment. Turn on the DVD player and
on goes the Squeeze...

I see you have an SB3. Try their remotes on the touch and/or the
touch's remote on them. I suspect they should work.
You should then be able to isolate whether it is the actual remote or
the touch /software.

I've seen mention that NTFS may be scheduled for a future version. That
