Although not new to computer by a good many years of use I am new to Linux.
I installed to the slave drive with no trouble, but am still having
difficulty setting up the broadband.

instead of iTunes.

Not sure how much is actually going to be made Open, but certainly some of

Hi Folks
My Ubuntu 7.04 is as per Live CD install - ie no added goodies or extras.
The desktop is about 5 years old now running an AMD 1.2GHz CPU with 1 Gb
RAM - a fairly bog standard system without any fiddly extras bolted on.
I have some niggles that I'd like to get rid of. These are:
A.
Brum is better for me as it gives me an extra half hour drinking and
celebrating before I need to catch the last train home at the totally
unreasonable time of 21:30!

At the LUG meeting I went to last night, one of the guys was trying to
install kubuntu onto his new laptop - an Advanta (?) that currently has
vista on it. He wanted to make it a dual boot machine, so far so good.
However, when the Live CD booted up, the maximum screen size it would
