Has anyone found that setting the cursor to help doesn't seem to do
anything?
I can't seem to make it work, and I'm hoping to avoid the PITA that
creating a custom cursor seems to entail?
I'm on OS X. Revolution 3.0.

attach them to this enhancement request.

I think you need to lock and unlock the cursor for the cursor change to 'stick'.

I had a problem in which some cursor images made in slightly non-standard
GIF tools would show well on one platform but not another.
If you are working on a PC, consider Jasc's Paint Shop Pro. Still under
$100US. It comes with some very nice tools.

I ended up redoing the cursor in Photoshop and saving it as a GIF. That
provided me with a cursor that got rid of that ugly hand, which I think
should be retired anyways... HyperCard is a thing of the past.
I did manage to get the native Gnome and KDE cursors to work though

From my tests, if you're on WinXP, then the cursor needs to be 32x32.
It can be 16x16 on Mac.
In order to set the color correctly, Try clicking in your cursor img
with the pencil to 'reset' the color map. Then it should work.

For instance ID 202619 has been changed for 76 and there is no
numeric relation between the old and the new ones.
This is not important for standalones but is really annoying for
stacks, utilities, plugins, etc.

Set the cursor to tID
This way, it figures out the right ID number whenever it switches

Great stuff. I seem to remember Scott Raney recommending using the
pencil tool in RunRev to edit the cursor image by setting the pen
color to black and clicking on a black pixel in the image while in
'edit mode' -- thus effectively "blessing" the image.

1) Pick an image used for one of Rev's prebuilt cursors.
(It will be in a folder labeled something like C:/program
files/Revolution 2.6/components/global environment - the stack is titled
revcursors)
2) Copy it over to your stack.
3) Change the image with revs image tools to suit
this happen? Could there be a bug? Creating
and using a custom cursor should not be this hard?

One thing Chris pointed out to me upon his experimenting with this - he
said that 16x16 images worked fine on WinXp as long as black was not
used. This could be useful in avoiding having to make different sets of
cursors for cross-platform distribution.

Many thanks for the reply. I didn't notice any delay, as I was
away myself.
I will try a cursor with 1,0,0 instead of 0,0,1 to substitute
black and will report the results here.
