Has anyone found that setting the cursor to help doesn't seem to do anything? I can't seem to make it work, and I'm hoping to avoid the PITA that creating a custom cursor seems to entail? I'm on OS X. Revolution 3.0. Best Mark ___ use-revolution

Thanks Jacqueline! I ended up redoing the cursor in Photoshop and saving it as a GIF. That provided me with a cursor that got rid of that ugly hand, which I think should be retired anyways... HyperCard is a thing of the past. I did manage to get the native Gnome and KDE cursors to work though

Actually 16 x 16 works. I discovered the image needs to be indexed (which clicking with the pencil might have done). One odd bit of behavior, the black and white were reversed when it was a cursor.I guess that could have been because it was coming from a Mac. Hmm wonder if I'll have

You can do this: Put the ID of image "whatever cursor" of card "myCard" of stack "myStack" into tID Set the cursor to tID This way, it figures out the right ID number whenever it switches cursors - thus avoiding a problem if the ID has changed. -Orig

Hi Richard, As I said, I understand the idea to bring IDs back into the "reserved" range stated in the documentation. But as far as I know (I have just verified), cursors IDs had not changed since Rev 1.1.1 (the oldest version I have) So it seems to be a real 2.6.1 novelty :-(

Try this... 1) Pick an image used for one of Rev's prebuilt cursors. (It will be in a folder labeled something like C:/program files/Revolution 2.6/components/global environment - the stack is titled revcursors) 2) Copy it over to your stack. 3) Change the image with revs image tools to suit

Your welcome, Chris... One thing Chris pointed out to me upon his experimenting with this - he said that 16x16 images worked fine on WinXp as long as black was not used. This could be useful in avoiding having to make different sets of cursors for cross-platform distribution. -Original
