There are a couple other ways to generate Pdfs.
1. From the file menu click on Export to Pdf and that should give
you a pop-up with tons of choices. I usually untick them all except
for the compression. For versions i might want to print from i choose
lossless compression

Which format are you saving the file in? It sounds like the file
might be in an MS format such as XlsX. The older MS format, Xls,
usually works well but it's best to keep originals in native ODF
formats such as Ods.

To bad it did not work out for you. I can't see any issue with the way
you installed as a shared extension. I usually start LibreOffice as
administrator and install the extension through the GUI instead of doing
