hello to all i have a great problem with my document in openoffice writer. doc was created by openoffice (i think 2.4) and i wrote (saved) many times with different versions of openoffice without any problem. today all my equations vanished. they are now represented as objects with numbers

I've had that happen (a time or two) and discovered that I had everything spelled correctly. Wish I could say that was the norm. I suppose there could be a problem, but you may have a good ability for spelling. Try deliberately misspelling some words, then run the spell-checker. See what
