I've got 2 boxes set up and on one I can't seem to get an alias domain
working as expected.
On the test box all works well. Of course. On the production box, when I
alias a domain via vaddaliasdomain, it seems to work as there are no
error messages. However, when I try to send mail to a user@

contain a bug of some sort, and then vpopmail inherits the problem.

Also, be sure the DIRECTORY where the tcp.* files and the open-smtp files
are stored is WRITEABLE by vpopmail/vchkpw so that it can update the files

You should be able to use relay-ctrl with courier-pop. I'm using it
successfully with courier-imap and the courier-imap and courier-pop
daemons use the same backend auth stuff which is what you need (relay-ctrl
only needs the authenticated POP or IMAP login to open SMTP).

While I am not sure exactly how this works
UUNET provides backup SMTP for me. I have an e-mail server at my site,
should my site go down for any particular reason they catch my e-mail, and
then when my site is back up all the e-mail starts rolling in.

This is exactly how it _should_ behave. Your .qmail-default is setup
so that all _unmatching_ addresses will be put in the "jim" Maildir.
But you have a real account for "spam", so vdelivermail sees that and
puts it in the "spam" Maildir. Where did you expect mail for "spam" to
be delivered?
