Anything that plays on a video ipod will also play on the iphone (because it's an ipod too). As for the new "iphone settings": One makes a file about the size of the old ipod setting (in the 800kbps range instead of 1600kbps) and the other (cellular) makes a tiny 3gp file meant to be easily viewed

Hey Matt, Couple of things: You can't own an idea so they couldn't have "stolen" yours. Also, I doubt its anything more than a coincidence. It looks like it's been developed by an outside production company and CBS bought it. I don't think they typically do those things on the order of weeks - it's

[videoblogging] Rode Video Mic

2007-09-11 Thread Michael Verdi
I've been using the Rode Video Mic on my Canon HV20 for a few weeks now and I really like it. Yesterday it dawned on me that because it supplies it's own power (via 9v battery) and has a 1/8" mini plug I could probably use it as a computer mic too. So I plugged it into my MacBook Pro and found it w

The big thing with iShowU and FCP is this: For the best quality use PhotoJPEG as your codec and then set up a FCP sequence that's the same frame size, codec and frame rate as your settings in iShowU and you will only have to render transitions and second layers, etc. - Verdi On 8/31/07, Markus Sa

I don't know the answer to your question either but I can say that I like iShowU much better for capturing movies and that the other day I kept getting that really explanatory "General Error" in FCP (not working with a screencast though) and I restarted my computer and it went away. - Verdi On 8/3
