The keyboard is just a standard PC keyboard with a normal USB A type
plug. What you do need to make it work with your Iphone or Ipad is what
Apple call a USB camera adaptor kit. It is basically a small flattish
piece of plastic with a short stubby lead coming out of one side
I have always normally used MFI certified cables just for the one simple reason
that Apples cables are much more expensive.
Now most of these cables are good, but can range in quality. So I tend to try
to stay with a brand that has a good reputation. I currently use Anker brand
cables.

Pretty sure she mean that he has data for his phone but not an internet
connection at home for the computer to use, thus the need for the hotspot.
To answer the question, yes you can use the phone hotspot. You can set it up as
a wifi connection or as bluetooth. For me as long as the hotspot
I should have said he doesn’t have wifi but he can get internet when wifi is
turned off. He does have unlimited data.

I’m not exactly sure I might be misunderstanding something. If he wants to
use his hotspot for his computer, he’s got to have Internet in order to use
the hotspot. The hotspot is for sharing the Internet with your computer.
Can you clarify if I’m misunderstanding something?

Don Moore, who is on this list and was in the hurricane needs help with
setting up hot spot with his iPhone. He wants to know if you can use the
phone hot spots to work on the computer and he needs to know how to set it
up. He does have his power back but no internet.
