Hi Rick,
There is a free iPhone guide you can download from the iBook Store in iTunes.

I guess the problem might be that you will need to manual to learn how to get
the book onto your iPhone. :-D

While I am not in favour censoring, we as yet have no indication at all that
Telstra will do anything other than block child porn sites -- which to me isn't

I don't know about Google DNS - never tried it - but I have had the OpenDNS
servers set as the DNS servers in my Billion router for a couple of years
(at least) now and have noticed NO slowdown whatsoever.
I didn't bother with setting up an Open DNS account - I just use their DNS
servers.

Hi, Can someone point me to the right download to Mac OS 10.5,

I have downloaded iTunes 10.3.1 but now need to upgrade to Mac OS

Hi Rick
You can't download 10.5 from 10.4, it is (was) a purchasable upgrade. Though
you can't buy it anymore, except perhaps from some second hand sources.
But there is no real way to download a copy from 10.4 to 10.5.
I can see if I've got anything lying around if you were chasing one if you
Hi Rick,
I believe that you can still can purchase the 10.5 disk through Apple phone
sales. You can call Apple Australia phone sales on 133 622. I was after this
disk last year and they still sold them over the phone then. Good Luck!!

When you install the Windows 7 upgrade disk on a new (blank) drive or virtual

Evening,
If you are a Telstra customer and connected by such you are being filtered.
DNS as Ronni has stated before is to change an IP address into english, a URL.
Most sites they are chasing are IP based, so the filtering will be done before
it reaches DNS servers.
OpenDNS servers are based

Hi Rob,
Don't confuse filtering with censoring. I can choose not to use SPAM filters or
Virus Scanners. That's the difference.
As Ronni mentioned, the problem is that once the infrastructure is in place to
block web sites at will, then those in power will use that ability to their
advantage.
Hi all,
I personally would like to see a more measured level of discussion on the WAMUG

Hi Paul
Some weeks ago gmail informed me that my account had been accessed from a

I love that security feature.
My guess is that gmail is being rightfully suspicious of emails from my

Hi Ronni,
This turns out to be more complicated. About six months ago, we
switched from hosting at in-silico to get-on-line now. Everything
OK. All emails functional on two computers in the same house (bigpond
ADSL) everything comes to 1. an iMac and 2. My laptop.
About May 12th.
Is there a method to provide a description to Films, TV Shows, etc in iTunes
that is longer than about 250 characters? (iTunes vers 10.3.1)
Movies downloaded from the iTunes Store have an embedded description viewable
in the iTunes application. Descriptions can be quite detailed and lengthy.
