Automake has already been approved for /usr/bin. I know some people weren't overly enthusiastic about it, but the objections were mostly related to installing multiple versions. If automake is OK for /usr/bin, then autoconf and libtool should follow, as they are usually used together. If this repository idea takes shape quickly, it could be a good home for the autotools, but I'm working with the delivery mechanisms available now. - Dermot
