1.11 is the latest stable version.  1.13 seems to be unstable (from
http://packages.qa.debian.org/f/fakeroot.html).  My understanding
is that we only want to port the stable version.

That's correct -- about half the tests needed to be modified to
get them to run properly through 'make check' in the test sub-
directory.  Once that's done, they all pass.
