One additional thing....

The one thing I do -NOT- want to see happen to STN, is for it to become
"bloat-ware" If you want that, there's always M$, W2k Server as a PDC,
and ISA.

I have several "other" contenders for the "linux-gateway/proxy-in-a-box"
laurel.. and (IMHO) STN _CRUSHES_ the competition in one major way. It
almost flies out of the box onto the floppy. The install borders on
trivially easy. The requirements are almost non-existant. You can
almost run the buggar off of a transistor radio, a nine volt battery,
and a prayer!

I have the others. They do all kinds of wizz-bang things. So what. I
want a gateway that will get me on my cable. Do effective NAT, handle
my occasional VPN request to my job. And keep the Bad Boys out.

IMHO - everything else is gravy.
