Jen,
I'm hitting the 550c's too, I didn't use the 3 or 4 for almost a year, then one day I got out at the range with some impact tape and a little experimenting and WOW, they are very hitable, especially if your having good succes with the other irons.
I also built a 4 and 5 -321Li for my nephew, very solid clubs, I didn't hit them enough to really dial them in but they sure felt good.
I think you'll do well either way you go. If I ever get the fairway woods figured out I'll be sure to fill you in but as of now I'm suffering with them too.
