If we can't trust modus ponens then we might just as well close our email
accounts.
As I (and John Ku) tried to point out, any instance of modus ponens is
necessarily within context.
As for trust, some of us have found that the entire world continues to
go 'round, despite the lack of any visible means of support.
While some on this list might think that such a view represents the
coward's way out of striving for understanding, it is better seen as
eliminating the grasping for that which can not be grasped, so the
present paradox can be resolved and one can strive toward the next
level of paradox and understanding.
