This is not a chip level problem but timing issue that gets exposed only
at higher temp. The F/W is just adding an extra wait state while the
code is being copied to RAM. So from conceptual level it is quite
straight forward. It is a benign change and will work with new chip, old
chip etc etc. 

We just need to make sure that it is not having some side effects.

Yes that was company provided info. The story was it was a change in the
Atmel chip that was not
told to them.
They are attempting to fix a chip level problem with firmware.
I am sure they check every chip now to be sure it is the correct one.
How many problem units are still out there is a good question but with
my luck I will get them.
