I am sooooo upset right now that I can scream. I have two aPPOs set up as AP/client. I currently am at the client end of a "PtP" link. I want to switch back to wireless bridge mode. There is no way to do this because the Wireless Bridge tab is unavailable in SimpleMonitor, and I can't set the MAC address of my local aPPO in the remote aPPO's MAC field. I switched to wireless bridge mode on the remote unit, hoping that the MAC address would be stored (since I previously had these two units in wireless bridge mode.
This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Why should I have to visit and physically connect to each aPPO to switch operating modes!!! Now I have to drive an hour to the other end, get into the location (which is not open on Sunday), and physically connect an ethernet cable to the unit. Isn't this "wireless" networking! It seems to me that the tab should not be disabled, and should allow you to put in a MAC address and save it before switching operating modes. Jason P.S. If anyone reminds me to bring a crossover cable with me, I'll kick 'em in the nuts. :) The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org
