IMO it is. Takes me less then 15minutes from a clean drive until I have MikroTik installed and working (doing routing or masquerading).
Does Brilan offer you ability to bandwidth limit peer to peer networking traffic such as kazaa ? MikroTik 2.8 does give you that option. This has been IMO a extremely big drawback with MikroTik since when it come to peer to peer that is where you really need it and all the peer to peer products out there are really sneaky and if you block their default port they will either start using port 80 or just start picking random ports so the only way you can do bandwidth shaping on them is by doing layer 7 filtering with signature recognition.
