submitting that form will certainly help you vent BUT unless someone dies or something falls down, it's unlikely much will happen to the PE. At least based on relatively recent and granted only one state, but a PE rejected plans two of the many listed deficiencies were: you can not have two piping arrangements on a single floor (open floor plan was gridded and next to the elevators, 6 enclosed room had a single branch line and you can not have 6 sprinklers on a 1 inch branch line. The 1 inch branch line supplied the enclosed rooms that were each based on the room design with one sprinkler per room. WONG but despite the contractor taking great effort to have the Board at least tell the PE to stop playing in fire protection NADA.

In the annual reports from the states I am registered in, I have never seen anyone even chastised for a fire protection offense. I can't say I have studied or even read every report though. I suspect part of the problem is that the Board of registration is made up of core engineers that know nothing about fire protection so unless something falls down or some one dies, such offenses must seem simply minor.

If anyone has seen a charge supported against such an offense, contact me off-Forum.

For those of you that know me well you'll understand when I say "Conflict resolution is when you carry the "Biggest Stickus" (No sexual connotation at

I once took a conflict resolution class, I had to leave early to avoid
punching out the "If you keep it professional" and "don't get personal, or take it personal" you can resolve anything wench, so there is a "WIN/ WIN" I'm sorry, but I know when I've lost! How can I not take it personal, my money and I are very close! Corp. money may require the "Big Picture", but
I'm a sole proprietor, and I AM THE BIG PICTURE!!!

As I get older, it seems more self evident that most Dumb Ass engineers (No one we associate with.)will only respond if you threaten to rip their heads off and crap down their pie hole.(And they said the therapy wasn't helping!) I've recently loaded the complaint form for the for the state board of Lic. for Arch. Eng. And surveyors. I expect it will be much used in the coming economic reality when Low price design teams will be king even more than
they are now.
