So? If the "fitter, ceiling cleaner or other worker" was to tie off his OSHA required fall protection. (I know OSHA say's "Structure") But since we keep designing it to hold and extra 250# it looks solid enough to tie onto. So when this worker falls his 6'-0" max his impact load is something like 3800#. More likely than a nice gentle giant slowly applying his weight to the pipe? Should the committee also add "and impact load for fall protection" to the standard?
