I have seen dozens if not hundreds of similar situation without sprinklers and just wanted to get the professional spin on it:
The area behind a bar where the liquor is kept has a ceiling height of 9-6 and the remainder if the Bar is at 13'-0". Of course the "soffit" is about 1'-9" wide. My thoughts are that a head is required due to the difference in elevation being greater than 3'-0". Any other thoughts?
