For a sprinkler system in a real Bldg. Information Model you would be able
to click on a sprinkler pipe and be referred to additional information which
could include the contractor installation drawings, system calculations,
equipment/component shop drawings, testing records, activation or repair
records, basically anything related to the installation or operation of that
system since it was installed.  The BIM is a live model/database that is
constantly updated with new information.  So imagine what it would be like
to have this and more for every type of system in the facility.  This is the
ultimate goal and level of a BIM, right now the software available is not
consistent as one package offers one level of info and another offers other
info.  This is a new tool that is still in the development phase.
