Hello sprinklerforum, I have it figured my about straight run of 900 feet of 6" Schedule 40 pipe on a Horizontal Manual Dry Standpipe is going to get about 5.5 inches longer due to thermal expansion. What have my fellow forumites used for thermal expansion joints in the past? Metraflex Seismic loops are rather expensive for this. The Project engineer is trying to request to allow for 4" every 200 feet. I want to refute his request.
