Although I disagree with his reasoning, I would say a set of calc's IS required for the second system. It's a documentation thing and each system stands alone so I would want that Xeroxed copy labelled system 2 in the system 2 file. Having said that, I would not require a calc for each floor if a hi-rise (cause I don't consider each floor a stand alone system). A separate calc would be required if one floor was different (hazard class, pipe arrangement, type of sprinkler etc) just like if you change a portion of a horizontal system.

What's the view of the Forum on whether a floor is a system?
