There's your answer! Tell the GC you'll save him $70,000 if he's just willing to make the kitchen part of the restaurant less than 600SF. Another Win-win?
Man's getting a brain transplant. He says I want an architect's brain. The Dr. asks why? Man reply's, because it's never been used. No really, now that you know it would cost $70,000 for the underground up-grade, your pump and tank price just became $85,000. He'll save $15,000 by doing the underground. Enough said please end this and let's start something NEW!! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Joel Chaim Sent: Monday, April 04, 2011 12:54 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Design solution needed Dividing the kitchen might help for room design method, I did a calc. and the most heads that I was able to make the system work was 6. But the rooms cannot be adjacent so to break a kitchen into two 400 sq. ft. rooms would mean there would have to be a room of lesser hazard between them. Doubt you're going to be able to break up a kitchen that way and make it still work. Plus that reference doesn't mean you can change the occupancy to a lesser occupancy, Kitchen still equals OH no matter what. It will never be an LH. Craig L. Pipe type and hose demand is allowed to use LH (though for hose demand, the rooms can not be adjacent so that nixes reducing it).
