Just being cranky tonight. That's not exactly what the Certificate says. The
section reads "Do you certify that you have a control feature to ensure that
all cutouts (discs) are retrieved?"

Yep, I certify I have a control feature. Doesn't say anything to the effect I
actually followed the feature or even removed the cutouts. And of course beer
cans aren't addressed from leaving open ended pipes at night. It should read
"I certify I have inspected and retrieved all the cutouts and any other
materials that may cause an internal obstruction in the piping, sprinkler
orifice or other system component." Of course we're still at the mercy of the
fitter because there ain't a piece of paper in the world that makes a sprinkler
system more reliable.

I agree with all the should's. Hanging the cutout is a fantastic idea, ain't
required though which was the original question.

There is the requirement, as mentioned, for a coupon retrieval system on the
Above Ground Test Certificate. there should then be a shop SOP and a field SOP.
Attaching the coupon to the tee is a pretty good SOP for the field work.
