Picture a line of BB sprinklers running along the ridge, now picture gobs of 
spray on insulation extending past the rafters at varying depths from the roof 
deck. How do you determine deflector distances?

But in that regard, it is not an activation issue, it is only an obstruction 
issue.
Shave it where necessary to not be an obstruction?
