Forgive me if I'm taking you down an incorrect path, but

- You said your SB showed "ethernet appears to be disconnected" I
never get that message.

- You didn't mention "obtaining an IP address" ever appeared. Does
this appear? It almost sounds like your SB has a static IP address
assigned.

- Have you walked through all the SB settings that are seen on the
'firmware setup menu' the other poster alluded to? Write down all these
settings and double-check that everything is in order.

- Pardon me if you already mentioned this, is your SB connected to your
gateway with a cable or are you using the wireless connection?
