bizzare ! what does current settings tell you hold left arrow 5
seconds

scroll down to Current Settings (2 of 5)
press right arrow here you can see all network settings

It is similar on the boom

why I wanted you to use the windows comand prompt and run ipconfig /all
was to get some basic network data

The only thing should be diffrent is the last numbers on the ip adress
most other settings should be the same

Examples from my network (note all your ip should begin with
192.168.2.x)

My Boom:
...
(4 of 15) ip adress 192.168.1.7
(5 of 15) subnet mask 255.255.255.0
(6 of 15) gateway 192.168.1.1
(7 of 15) DNS server 192.168.1.1
(8 of 15) Squeezebox server < name of or ip of your server >
...

My Squeezebox 3
...
(4 of 20) ip adress 192.168.1.7
(5 of 20) subnet mask 255.255.255.0
(6 of 20) gateway 192.168.1.1
(7 of 20) DNS server 192.168.1.1
(8 of 20) Squeezebox server < name of or ip of your server >
...

My server

ip adress 192.168.1.5
mask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
DNS server 192.168.1.1

Do you see the pattern here, in my case gateway=router=dns server.
gateway is usually the same as the router note that the router itself
also have an ip-adress if I may guess your is 192.168.2.1

IF you server is getting an 192.168. something ip adrees your
squeezeboxes should also get that, you have conected everything
corectly to the router ( your2-wire) ?? is this a dsl conection.
You are not using a port that is for an ip phone or something ?
