No it is not an employers computer but my own. I understand VPN is a Virtual Private Network but I have no idea whether there is such an adapter on the computer ( it is quite a simple set up- USB mouse and keyboard, DVI monitor, Back Up UPS connected by USB, MFC Printer with Fax capability on same line(rarely used, printer is usually off), and the 2 wire router/modem
