SlimChances, one correction to one of my previous comments. I suggested you PING your Squeezebox from your computer. Later I commented that your PING result looked good. I should have looked more carefully.
Yes, the PING looked fine, but the address you used was not (to my knowledge) the *LAN address* of your Squeezebox. This should be 192.168.xx.xx, NOT the 'public' IP address you used to PING. I should have caught that. Try to figure out *exactly* what the local address of your Squeezebox is, as well as every other networked device on your LAN. The place to get this information is from the status page of your gateway or router. (I keep a text file with this info for all my LAN devices including computers, squeezeboxes, routers, et cetera. Some of the stuff is old and stored on a shelf, but I have the network card data entered if by chance I decide to plug it in. It is a list of hardware MAC ids and local IP assignments.) You never mentioned that you looked at your router/gateway settings page. (I'll re-read this entire thread, I think I'm correct.) If you haven't done this, you need to check it out. -- Danny8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Danny8's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=27606 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77280 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
