What's strange is you don't have the extension Adobe DLM and when you
click on the install button you are given the option to save the file. I
don't get that option. I like your way better but it's not offered to
me. Hmmmm.

Check under Edit | Preferences | Helper applcations and see how you are
handling exe files. I get prompted because that's what I trained SM to
do; YMMV.

I went to the SeaMonkey menu bar and selected [Edit> Preferences]. On
the Preferences window, I selected [Browser> Helper Applications].
Scrolling down the list of helpers to where "Content Type" is
"Application", I see "Action" is "Save File".

I have no idea how to add or delete entries in the list of helpers or
how to add actions to those available in the selection list for each
entry.

You might use the SeaMonkey Add-ons Manager to disable the Adobe DLM
extension. (Don't delete the extension yet, in case you want to keep
it.) Then try the Adobe downloads page again to see if you can download
Flash to install independently of SeaMonkey.

Oh, I can download Flash independent of SM, but not from the link posted in this thread. I've looked at my SM preferences and I can't find one that is causing the link to invoke the install of the Adobe DLM. I thought I made it clear but I will say it again, the install of the Adobe DLM fails and that is where the Flash install fails. I found the .exe file for Flash, I'm updated and I've spent more time on this minor problem than it took to find a work around.

I was curious as to why some of us get a different result when we all click on the same link but as I said, Flash is updated and it looks like my curiosity on this subject will not be satisfied. No big deal.
